Depending on your individual desires and your eye's needs, you may be a candidate for some of the following lens implant options.


Standard Monofocal Lens

  • Cost covered by insurance
  • Patient will generally need glasses for all reading and close vision tasks, but often reduces dependency on glasses for distance

Toric Lens
  • Patient incurs costs not covered by insurance
  • Reduces dependency on glasses in moderate to high astigmatism
  • Patient may need glasses for reading and close vision tasks, but reduces dependency on glasses for distance

Accommodating Lens (Crystalens)
  • Patient incurs costs not covered by insurance
  • Reduces dependency on glasses for distance and near
  • May occasionally need glasses for near vision

Multifocal Lens (Restor or Technis)
  • Patient incurs costs not covered by insurance
  • Reduces dependency on glasses for distance and near
  • May rarely need glasses for reading and some near/intermediate/distance vision tasks
